Mother & Baby magazine has announced MAM as winner of the Award for Excellence 2007/08 for its safe sleep campaign with FSID.
Following the research announcement that using a dummy to settle your baby to sleep could reduce the risk of sudden infant death, MAM and FSID formed a two year partnership with informing parents, carers and professionals about the importance of sleep safe advice as its key objective.
Mother & Baby said: MAM has campaigned tirelessly for the safe sleeping dummy advice mums are given to be updated. This year they were proud to put their money where their mouth is and establish a two-year partnership with the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths to help them promote the new safe sleeping guidelines to UK mums. Thanks to the campaign thousands of mothers will feel confident that they’re doing everything possible to keep their sleeping babies safe.
Lisa Parkhill, Managing Director of MAM said: We are delighted to have won the Mother & Baby Award for Excellence, and pleased to be recognised for the work we have undertaken with the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths to help promote safe sleeping guidelines for babies.
