We are delighted to report that we have been awarded £10,000 in the RBS Children's Charity Awards, as featured in the Daily Mail newspaper in December.
The Mail invited members of the public to vote for their favourite children's charity, giving a reason why the charity should be awarded £10,000. Ninety charities with the greatest number of votes then benefited from a £10,000 donation. In December FSID made an appeal to it’s supporters to take the time to vote.
Holly Butcher, FSID's Head of Fundraising said: "We are so thrilled. The money was awarded on votes alone which means that a huge number of our supporters must have voted. I hope they are as delighted as we are. There are thousands of children’s charities in the UK, so it just goes to show what an amazing difference a collective effort can make”.
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and make this happen.
