BabyZone Booklet
BabyZone is the our award winning information booklet. It is simple, colourful and easy to understand with cartoon style drawings to help parents keep their baby healthy and safe. It is specially designed to be accessible to all parents, and the pictures are particularly useful where English is not the reader’s first language.
In 2000 BabyZone received a British Medical Association Communications Award for Best Patient Information booklet and it continues to be our most popular publication. We currently receive 20,000 orders for BabyZone every month and currently need to print a stock of 340,000.
Campaigns
We plan to run a number of high profile media and awareness raising campaigns to draw public attention to a number of areas to do with baby health and safety. These campaigns are all in need of sponsorship and would offer your company a high profile platform on which to raise awareness of your brand and develop a relationship with us.
Mobile Phone Project
Research has shown that less than half of those families that are bereaved each year have a landline. As a result, these parents are unable to use our free phone card to make free calls to our helpline when they are concerned or need help and advice.
To answer this problem, we are launching a project to provide ‘Pay as you Go’ mobile phones to families in need. Each phone will come with £20 credit in order to enable them to phone the helpline if they need to.
FSID Helpline
Our Helpline is a unique service which is able to support anyone who has either experienced the sudden death of a baby, is a professional involved with a bereaved family, is a friend or family member of someone whose baby has died or simply someone who is worried about cot death.
The Helpline is answered personally by specially trained advisors from 9am to 11pm Monday to Friday and from 6pm to 11pm at weekends. All information is kept confidential.
Research
We fund research into the causes and risk factors of cot death, all of our current research projects are in need of funding. Please contact us if you would like further details on any of these.
