Employee fundraising

It doesn’t matter what your company does or how many employees there are, everyone can get involved in fundraising for us. You can work with us on one or many projects, long or short term, to ensure our work can continue and your employees get the most out of the activity.

Involving staff in supporting us is good for everybody!

Employee fundraising:

  • Encourages team building and boosts employee morale
  • Strengthens inter-departmental relationships
  • Gives staff a role in the company’s Community Affairs policy
  • Creates a positive image of their employer
  • Offers new opportunities and challenges

Employees can set aside any given time - a day once a month or a week once a year - to raise money for us.

Have a look at the simple ideas below, or make up an activity of your own!

  • Organise a raffle – source a prize or raffle something money can’t buy like a day off work
  • Everyone pays £1 to put their name in a hat to win the chance of having their tea/coffee made all day by another colleague
  • Take advantage of a sporting event like the Grand National and organise a sweepstake with half the money going to the winner and half to us
  • Get people to come to work in fancy dress - they can either pay to do this or people can sponsor them if they aren’t brave enough themselves!
  • Have a team lunch! Everyone pays £3 to a nominated person who buys lunch ingredients and everyone helps themselves - the money left goes to us.
  • Play office dares - write down dares and pay 50p to pick one out of a hat. If the person who picks it doesn’t want to do it they have to pay another 50p as a forfeit.
  • Don’t send Christmas cards to each other - write your Christmas greetings on a central notice board and donate what you would have spent on Christmas cards to FSID.
  • Play FSID’s poster game, Pick a Bear for Baby!
