FSID's London Fire Walk Challenge

If you have a burning ambition to walk on fire or just want to do something different in 2008, FSID are offering you the chance to take part in their fire walking challenge on Friday 6th June 2008 at 6.30pm in London.

Participants in this inspirational and exhilarating event will have the unique opportunity to walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at approximately 1200°F without experiencing any pain or injury. People who’ve taken part say it’s left them buzzing for days afterwards. Here's the view of one satisfied walker:

“Fire walking is genuinely thrilling. Everybody finds their first fire walk not only great fun but thoroughly exhilarating too. What is more, everyone who takes part will discover for themselves the truth about fire walking. It could easily be the most memorable, enjoyable, and fun event you have ever taken part in.”

Registration for the event will begin at 6.30pm prompt, after which all participants will take part in a two-hour motivational training session which will equip them to walk across the burning embers unharmed. Once the training session is complete, participants will be given the opportunity one by one to complete their fire walking challenge. To watch a short video about fire walking, please click here.

The bar will of course be open beforehand for spectators, who should plan to arrive no later than 8.00pm to ensure they have a good view, and will be open until 12am for everyone to celebrate afterwards. We also hope to put on a special blazin’ barbeque for the event.

Registration and Minimum Sponsorship

To take part a non-refundable registration fee of £20 is required and we ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship of just £130 (excluding gift aid). We are on hand with fundraising support and advice to help you raise that £130 and hopefully much more.

Deadline for registration is Friday 16th May 2008

PLEASE NOTE: The minimum age requirement for this event is 18. Individuals aged 16+ can take part with a signed parental consent form which can be obtained from FSID by emailing challenge@fsid.org.uk

 

Online sponsor forms

A great way of getting people to sponsor you to walk on fire is by setting up an online sponsor form with justgiving.com. Once it is set up you can email the link to all your friends and contacts to sponsor you online with credit or debit cards.
