All bereaved parents and families on the CONI scheme in the UK may now receive a phonecard so that they can contact FSID's Helpline free of charge. You may have been asked if you would like a phonecard while you were in the A&E department. If you were not and would like to receive a phonecard, either:
telephone FSID's Helpline on 020 7233 2090, email the Helpline at helpline@fsid.org.uk or ask your health visitor, family doctor or the coroner's officer
To use your phonecard follow these easy instructions:
- you will receive a phonecard with your name and a number on it
- If calling from a BT phone then dial 144 to speak to the voice prompt
- If calling from a cable phone then call 0800 144 144
- dial the number on the phonecard
- you are then through to FSID's Helpline which is answered from 9am-11pm on weekdays and 6pm-11pm at weekends, throughout the year
- the call is free because FSID pays for the call
- the Helpline will give you the support and information you need
- the call is confidential
If you would like to apply for a phonecard please email
