London Marathon

The next London Marathon will take place on 26th April 2009.  We regret to inform you that we have no places left for London Marathon 2009 at present, but you are welcome to go on our waiting list. See below for instructions on how to do this. 

Alternatively, if you are interested in running in 2010 please get in touch straight after the 2009 marathon, as places fill up fast!

Run for FSID

Running the London Marathon is the achievement of a lifetime. People from all ages and walks of life have done it, knowing their effort will bring us ever closer to ending cot death. Could you do it too?

Apply to run for FSID

If you get a place with us you will be joining a team of like-minded supporters and will receive personal attention from a member of FSID’s Fundraising Department from start to finish.

What you get when you run with FSID:

• Fundraising support
• The chance to join an online forum of FSID runners to swap tips and advice
• A free FSID running vest, sponsor forms and promotional material
• Direct contact with our Events Coordinator throughout
• Opportunities to socialise with the runners before the event
• A post-race reception at our offices in London

If you think you can raise a minimum of £1,500 for FSID then get in touch to apply for one of our Golden Bond Places. But hurry, as places fill up fast!

Because places are so in demand we also ask all our applicants to apply for a place in the public ballot. The results of this are drawn in October every year. If  you get your own place in the ballot you still run for FSID as part of our team, with all the same benefits.

Email challenge@fsid.org.uk or call 020 7222 8003 for an application pack.  If your application is successful you will pay a registration fee of £35 and be sent a fundraising pack, whereupon you can get to work on fundraising and training. From then on we will be in regular contact until the big day, with any support or advice you require.

• Send you a running vest
• Sign you up to an email list of runners
• Invite you to the socials
• Support you from now until the big day
