Ever wanted to stand on the summit of Ben Nevis, scale Snowdon or Scafell Pike? Now you can do this and raise money for FSID at the same time! All you need is Mead......
Bereaved father and qualified mountaineer Pete Mead offers to lead you on a sponsored trekking weekend in aid of FSID:
I became involved with FSID after I lost my daughter Phoebe in 2002 to cot death. Now I am offering to lead small groups on challenging trekking weekends in the UK to raise money for cot death research and support. Because the cause is close to my heart, unlike a tour operator I will not take a cut of the money - anything you raise goes straight to FSID.
These treks make perfect team-building exercises for colleagues or wonderful reunions for friends. Why not tell your friends and family about it and form your own group of walkers? it's very flexible and the UK is your oyster.
You cover your own costs for accommmodation, transport and food and then raise just £200 in sponsorship money for FSID.
Once you've decided on a date we can send you a fundraising pack so you can start collecting sponsorship straight away! We'll then be on hand for any advice, support or info you need right up until the event and beyond.
Here is the feedback from one very satisfied participant on one of Peter's treks:
I would recommend this walk to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and beautiful scenery. The trek was a real challenge for me; at one point I thought I couldn’t go any further, but my team was a great support and Captain Mead was never far from sight so I felt completely safe and encouraged to keep going. The whole weekend was well planned and thought through, and Peter was so organised and equipped for any situation - he had even the smallest of details covered.
